Where I live, there are a lot of Ibis birds around. They are constantly scavenging for food and are generally not afraid of humans. Here is somewhere I had never seen them before in such a large group - my backyard!
There had been quite a lot of rain a few days before I took these photos, and as there is a creek that runs along this park (aka my backyard), the area often floods.
I’m not exactly sure what kind of food these birds were finding, but they stayed around for a long time. If I’d thought about it at the time, a telephoto lens would have captured some interesting angles.
So, you never know what you’ll find looking out your window at home!
