Light Extravaganza
Travelling is fun. Travel photography allows you to capture the memories and look back on them fondly later on.
My last visit to Adelaide a few months ago happened to coincide with Adelaide Festival. On the Saturday night I headed out into town to check out the light extravaganza. It was projecting colourful light mosaics onto the facades of Adelaide’s historic buildings. Check this out:
There were quite a few people out enjoying the show, so it took a bit of patience to get photos without people in front of them.
I have to also admit to not doing this the way I really should have - camera, tripod, shutter release cable… Believe it or not, these photos were taken with my iPhone! I wasn’t feeling all that fantastic this particular night, so I didn’t lug all my gear with me.
Thankfully there was enough light that a steady hand meant I could still get an image that is recognisable. I did miss my wide angle lens though!
The way these lights transformed the buildings was incredible - the work it would have taken is immense! It was a wonderful site to see.
