Ingenuity - A Couch on a Sandy Hill?
Have you ever wanted uninterrupted ocean views, from the comfort of your couch?
Well, who says the couch has to be in your living room???
Walking around the Burleigh Heads area of Queensland’s Gold Coast, I noticed this funny site. Someone had put a leather (or faux leather) couch, tucked down a little ‘private’ walkway, on the side of a hill.
Now these are those moments where a camera comes in very handy. Describing this kind of scene just isn’t the same. Pictures tell a thousand words, as they say.
It’s a great idea. I’m assuming this is a couch that can handle some inclement weather, as this area gets a bit of rain - especially towards the end of summer.
Fun idea though. This vantage point looks back up the coastline towards Surfer’s Paradise, and is literally a million dollar view - without the million dollar price tag.
Imagine, sitting there at sunset with your SLR on a tripod, the camera settings able to be slightly altered to suit the changing ambient light, a shutter cable release in your hand…. How perfect would that be!
Plus, grab a glass (or bottle) or something, round up a few friends, and relax the balmy summer afternoon away!
