Circus is in Town!

On a recent trip, I arrived and found a beautiful view from my hotel room - overlooking a large park and a lake.  Arriving back to my room after a day out wandering, I saw the circus had arrived!

Storms

Living in Queensland Australia, storms are pretty much a given at the end of summer.  At the moment though, a family of storms are living in my home town of Brisbane.  This is only the beginning of summer, so hopefully this isn’t a sign of the season to come.

Searching for Great Beach Sunset Photographs

A sunset is a thing of beauty.  Not always that easy to photograph - for me anyway.  In Australia, especially on the East Coast, sunsets are fleeting.  There’s a window of about 5 seconds where the colours are just right.  Even then, the colours aren’t all that vibrant.  Here is a recent attempt - taken on the beach at Seacliff in Adelaide:

Help with Lightening Photographs!

Coming into summer (in the Southern Hemisphere), we’re up for some pretty fabulous storms.

We’ve already had a few and I’ve always wanted to take one of those great photos with multiple bolts of lightening.

I’ve been trying for years, and no go.  Can anyone give me some advice?  Also, sending some photos would be great!
